Glenda L. Dickey
Past International President Glenda L. Dickey of Gardnerville, Nevada, born October 6, 1941, passed away May 22, 2024, at the age of 83 surrounded by her children. She was honored as a Past International President in 2009 after serving six years on the UCT Board of Governors as International Secretary-Treasurer. Glenda had been a member of San Jose Council 623, San Jose, California and was active at the local, regional, and international levels.
Glenda was born Glenda Lee Laveroni in San Jose, California on Oct. 6, 1941. She was the only child born to Clarence and Olga Laveroni. She gave a lot of her time to charitable organizations. She joined UCT March 1, 1989 and was an active member for over 60 years as well as the Native Daughters of the Golden West Vendome Parlor #100. She was also on the Lincoln High School reunion committee who, a few years ago celebrated their 60th Class Reunion. She loved to travel and did so quite extensively with the same group of friends.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She rarely missed an event where her children or grandchildren were competing. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Jill and David, Her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Ali, her 7 grandchildren Logan, Gannon, Braden, Peytan, Grace, Mason, Dawson, and 1 great-grandchild Charlotte. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. Her smile and welcoming heart will be missed terribly.
